A very successful concert!

Last night I performed with Grisha Goryachev in the St. Andrew’s Performing Arts Series (SAPAS) in Wellesley, MA. I took the first half and Grisha played the second half. I’ve been playing quite a bit this month and I think last night was my best playing so far. The cold is starting to get to my fingers though, and I’m not so crazy about that. Oh well – - there’s nothing much we can do about it. It seems that every winter I need to learn how to play in cold again.

In any case, today, the music director, Patricia Griffin, wrote us a lovely e-mail:
“On behalf of SAPAS, I wish to commend you on a very moving concert. We were surely blessed to have you on our series. And I can say without equivocation that yours was one of the best performances we have ever been privileged to present. Each of you exhibited a style, tone quality and command of repertoire that truly astounded and captivated our audience. I would count your sale of so many CDs as a testament to how much our audience wants to keep you close to their hearts forever. Thank you from the depths of our souls.”
