Just like anyone else, I go through various phases in life and my current phase is telling me to find something that really challenges me in a completely different way. Recently my listening has been largely dominated by flamenco, Brazilian and contemporary classical and it’s creating a kind of freshness in my relationship with music. This year will likely be very exciting and probably very busy. Looking at the pile of work I’ve assigned myself (transcriptions, correspondences, my CDs, the GuitarFest, the Guitar Project) I can only say that I’m very happy that school is not in session right now. Back to work… each day gets closer to the spring term at NEC so I better get moving.
