About Boston Guitar Project
Boston Guitar Project was the brainchild of the American guitar virtuoso, Eliot Fisk. BGP was founded in 2005 by a group of students at New England Conservatory of Music who sought to share their love of guitar music. Since its founding, BGP has appeared before audiences from all ends of the spectrum throughout Greater Boston. Today, BGP serves the community through its Concert Series and its Outreach Project.
BGP Concert Series
The Boston Guitar Project concert series presents young guitarists from all over the world, featuring eclectic programs and styles ranging from classical to flamenco. Each season promises to be an exciting blend of the worlds of the guitar. Our featured artists have included flamenco prodigy Grisha Goryachev, French virtuoso Thibault Cauvin, and guitarst-composer Boris Gaquere.
BGP Outreach Project
The outreach projects have taken BGP to nursing facilities, hospitals, homes for the blind, community churches, local libraries, schools, and other public venues. In addition, BGP has contributed to many fund raising activiites throughout Boston, thus increasing BGP’s role in public service.
Through outreach, BGP continues to spread guitar music to new audiences of varying demographics. BGP Outreach is made possible by tireless commitments from its artists who selflessly volunteer their time and talent to serve a greater cause.
